How it works

We're not a directory and we don't send your details to a list of businesses. One enquiry goes to one local tradie.

  1. 01

    Tell us the job

Call 08 6800 6079 or send the form with your suburb, what's happening and a photo if you have one.

  2. 02

We pass it to one local tradie

Your enquiry goes to one local plumber, electrician or air conditioning technician who covers your area. Not a list of businesses.

  3. 03

They call you back and quote

The tradie calls you back within 24–48 hours, talks the job through and quotes before any work starts.

Is it an emergency?

Some problems need the emergency services or the network operator before a tradie:

  • Smell gas? Leave the building, don't use switches or flames, and call the gas leak line on 1800 427 532.
  • Sparks, smoke or a burning smell? Stay clear and call 000 if there's any risk of fire or injury.
  • Powerline down or a street outage? Keep at least 8 metres away and call SA Power Networks on 13 13 66.
  • Burst water main in the street? Call SA Water on 1300 729 283.

Once it's safe, send us an enquiry for the repair. Choose "Urgent" and the tradie will know it can't wait.

What to check before work starts

  • A licence for the work. In South Australia, electrical, plumbing and gas fitting work must be done by appropriately licensed tradespeople. Ask for licence details and check them on the CBS public register.
  • The right ticket for air con. Installing or regassing split systems involves refrigerant, which needs a refrigerant handling licence (ARCtick).
  • A clear quote. Get the price agreed before work starts, including parts, labour and any call-out charge.
  • Compliance paperwork. Ask what certificate of compliance the job needs and when you'll receive it.

Common questions

What is SuperFox Plumbing and Electrical?

SuperFox is an Adelaide enquiry service for plumbing, electrical and air conditioning jobs. You tell us what needs doing, by phone on 08 6800 6079 or through the quote form, and we pass your enquiry to one local tradesperson who covers your suburb. They call you back, talk the job through and give you a quote.

Do you do the plumbing or electrical work yourselves?

No. The work is quoted and carried out by an independent local tradesperson, who is responsible for it. In South Australia, electrical, plumbing and gas work must be done by appropriately licensed people, so ask the tradie for their licence details with the quote. You can check them on the Consumer and Business Services public register.

How many quotes will I get?

One. We pass your enquiry to one local tradie rather than sending it to several businesses, so you get one call back and one quote, not a flood of phone calls. If the quote does not suit you, you are under no obligation to accept it.

Does it cost anything to send an enquiry?

No. Sending an enquiry is free and there is no obligation. You only pay the tradesperson if you accept their quote and they do the work, and the price is agreed between you and them before work starts.

How soon will someone call me back?

The tradie aims to call you back within 24–48 hours. If your job is urgent, choose "Urgent" on the form or say so when you call, but we can't promise an arrival time. If anything is dangerous, such as a gas smell, sparking or a fallen powerline, leave the area and call 000 first.

Which areas of Adelaide do you cover?

We take enquiries from across greater Adelaide, including the inner suburbs, the eastern, western, northern and southern suburbs, and the Adelaide Hills. If you are unsure whether your suburb is covered, send the enquiry anyway or call and we will check.

What should I do if I smell gas or see sparks?

Your safety comes first. For a gas leak, leave the building, avoid using switches or flames, and call the Australian Gas Networks leak line on 1800 427 532, or 000 if anyone is in danger. For sparking, burning smells or fallen powerlines, stay clear and call 000 or SA Power Networks on 13 13 66. Once it is safe, send us an enquiry for the repair.
